Campbell Ducks
Campbell Ducks are a domestic medium sized duck. They come in the colours white, khaki and black (or dark). The white, surprise surprise, is white in both drake and duck. Dark is black in the drake and dark brown in the female with pencilled markings. The khaki, however, is different in both sexes. The females are plain brown with some pencilled markings aswell like that of the female mallards. The males have a green or greeny-black iridescent head like that of the mallard with a largely dull brown body everywhere else. Though these birds can look like mallards at a glance, their size often gives them away. The khaki campbell drakes go into an eclipse plumage I believe where they look very like the females. The white campbells have yellow or orange bills and feet, whilst the khakis have greeny-grey ones and the dark have black beaks and feet. The khakis can sometimes have orange feet and grey beaks. The Campbell Duck originated in England, Gloucestershire I believe.
Colourations
Khaki
Khaki Campbells are just one mutation of the domestic Campbell Duck. There are also white and black mutations too.
Khaki Campbells look rather like a dull large mallard. The males have a brown body, green or black head and a greeny-grey or yellow beak. The females are brown all over with the same colour beak as the male. Drakes have an eclipse plumage the same colour as the females. Khaki Campbells are not good flyers. Campbells I believe originated in the county of Gloucestershire, England, UK.
